Hopelogy is an AI-powered companionship app. It is NOT a licensed medical or mental health service.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. The AI may fail to identify situations requiring urgent intervention.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Hopelogy application ('App'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree, you must not use the App. Your continued use constitutes ongoing acceptance of any future updates to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Hopelogy. If you are between 13 and 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you represent that you meet the minimum age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Nature of the Service
Hopelogy provides AI-powered chat companions for companionship, self-reflection, and emotional support. You acknowledge and agree that:
• The AI companions are software programs, not human beings;
• All responses are generated by AI (including xAI, Google, and Cerebras) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate;
• Prolonged or repeated use may create a sense of emotional attachment, but interactions do not replace real human relationships or professional social support;
• The App is not designed for situations involving abuse, violence, or emergency intervention.
4. Not a Professional or Medical Service
HOPELOGY IS NOT A LICENSED MEDICAL PROVIDER, MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL, THERAPIST, OR CRISIS SERVICE. The App does not provide clinical diagnosis, psychotherapy, or professional advice of any kind.
CRITICAL: The App does not guarantee the detection of emotional distress, crisis situations, or harmful intent. The AI may fail to identify situations requiring urgent or professional intervention. You must not rely on the App to recognize or respond appropriately to a crisis.
5. User Responsibilities and Conduct
You are solely responsible for any information you choose to share. You agree not to submit highly sensitive personal data, including medical records, financial information, or government identification.
You must NOT:
• Attempt to 'jailbreak' or manipulate the AI systems;
• Use the App to generate harmful, illegal, abusive, or hateful content;
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
6.1 Subscription Plans: Hopelogy offers premium features through subscription plans billed recurringly.
6.2 Billing: Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
6.3 Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings.
6.4 Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.
7. Intellectual Property
All content and features of the App — including AI personas, text, graphics, and software — are the exclusive property of Hopelogy and its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a license to use it solely to operate and improve the service.
